Step into a more sustainable way of living with the Platin AA Eco-Plus Rainwater Harvesting System, developed by GRAF, a European leader in rainwater solutions. Designed for non-potable uses throughout the home, this system provides an efficient and reliable supply of rainwater for toilet flushing, washing machines, garden irrigation, and general outdoor cleaning.
How It Works:
Rainwater Collection – Rainwater is gathered from your roof and channelled through downpipes into the underground Platin tank, designed for shallow installation and ease of access.
Award-Winning Filtration – As the water enters the tank, it passes through GRAF’s high-performance filter, ensuring stored water remains free from leaves and debris.
Smart Water Distribution – An external pump and control unit installed within your property draws water from the tank as needed. A floating intake ensures extraction from the cleanest layer below the water’s surface.
Automatic Mains Backup – If the stored rainwater level becomes low, the system automatically switches to mains water via the integrated cistern beneath the pump unit, ensuring an uninterrupted supply without topping up the main tank.
Optimised Rainwater Storage – By keeping mains water separate from the tank, the system preserves full capacity for collected rainwater, maximising overall efficiency.
Why Choose the Platin AA Eco-Plus System?

Compliant External Pump – The external pump unit incorporates a Family Type AA air gap, providing protection in line with UK water regulations.
-

It's essential to inform your local water authority before starting any work. According to the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations, installing systems like rainwater harvesting is considered a "material change of use" of your premises. This means you must notify your water undertaker in advance and obtain their consent before beginning the installation.
To notify your local water authority, you'll need to provide details such as your name and address, a description of the proposed work, and specifics about the location and intended use of the premises. Many water undertakers have their own notification forms available on their websites. It's important to use these forms, especially when submitting electronically.
By following these steps, you help ensure that your rainwater harvesting system is installed safely and in compliance with regulations, protecting both your water supply and the broader public system. For any further guidance, please click here.
