GRAF, a pioneer in European rainwater solutions, has created the Carat AA Silentio Rainwater Harvesting System, which offers a cutting-edge and environmentally friendly method of managing your household’s water needs. This system is expertly designed for various applications that don’t require potable water, including flushing toilets, washing machines, garden irrigation, and outdoor cleaning.
How It Operates:
- Efficient Rainwater Capture: Rainwater is collected from your roof and channelled into an underground tank via downpipes, ensuring maximum collection.
- Pristine Water Quality: As water enters the tank, it passes over an award-winning filter, preventing debris from entering the storage area.
- Smart Water Distribution: The system includes an internal pump/control unit, which draws water from the tank as needed, ensuring efficient water usage.
- Seamless Transition to Mains Water: When rainwater levels are low, the system automatically switches to mains water, stored in a cistern under the wall-mounted pump.
- Optimal Rainwater Utilisation: By avoiding the use of mains water to top up the tank, the system maximises rainwater collection.
- Digital Monitoring: A digital level indicator in the tank allows precise control and monitoring of water levels.
Key Features:
- Sustainable Construction: The underground tank is made from 100% recycled plastic, showcasing a commitment to environmental responsibility.
- Unique Pump System: Plus, enjoy peace of mind regarding water regulations with our external pump unit that incorporates a Family A Type A air gap.
- Easy Installation: The tank can be backfilled with gravel, not concrete, simplifying the installation process.
- Complimentary Delivery: Free UK mainland delivery is included, adding value to your purchase.
The system also includes a Carat telescopic dome shaft Mini Green with a PE lid, suitable for pedestrian areas, and an option for a vehicle loading lid for areas with vehicle traffic. Choose the Carat AA Silentio Rainwater Harvesting System for a state-of-the-art, eco-efficient water management solution in your home. It's essential to inform your local water authority before starting any work. According to the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations, installing systems like rainwater harvesting is considered a "material change of use" of your premises. This means you must notify your water undertaker in advance and obtain their consent before beginning the installation.
To notify your local water authority, you'll need to provide details such as your name and address, a description of the proposed work, and specifics about the location and intended use of the premises. Many water undertakers have their own notification forms available on their websites. It's important to use these forms, especially when submitting electronically.
By following these steps, you help ensure that your rainwater harvesting system is installed safely and in compliance with regulations, protecting both your water supply and the broader public system. For any further guidance, please click here.
