More than just an underground tank

Approximately 6 weeks ago we unveiled a new room within our head office at Banbury. As a few of our closest customers have now seen it first-hand, I’m excited to share details of it so we can sort out a date for you to come and see it for yourself!

We’re using it mainly for customer events as our lunchroom, when visitors use our meeting room facilities and allow us a bit of time to train them on our products and services, we’re hosting lunch in this new room and it’s becoming more and more of a talking point.

Probably because we’ve filled the room with some of our products, but certainly not as they’ve been seen before. The concept was sparked by our new recycling centre in Germany, which gave us the idea to create a room around a theme of ‘upcycling’. As we have found, it’s incredible what you can turn plastic drainage materials into to give them a second life! (the reality being of course that for most of our products it’s probably more like their third or fourth life, because the majority of plastic products we sell started out as yoghurt pots, milk bottles or other household containers!)

Quite an awesome bar at that! So much so that most people who have seen it have asked if we can make some more and sell them as a new product line!

Although we have no intention of doing that, just yet, we’re certainly enjoying hosting customer lunches and meetings in this new space. As we’ve only held lunchtime events in there so far and we’ve implemented an after 5 o’clock rule on the proper drinks, I’m sad (and shocked!) to say that we haven’t even served a customer a real drink yet! But there’s plenty of time for something to be arranged and if you’re ever in the area, we’d love to show you around. It’s compulsory that you walk around our showroom and listen to our presentation about our products at the same time of course (don’t worry, it’s only a 3-hour talk!)

Check out the photos and then come and see us when you can. You never know, you might just learn something you didn’t know about GRAF products and services and get some inspiration for your own garden bar at the same time!
